Volunteer

Founded in 1990, Fair Hill Nature Center has made tremendous impact on the thousands of public school students that visit each year. The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication of our community of volunteers. Please join us by supporting these efforts through the following volunteer opportunities.

FIRST SATURDAYS

Join us every first Saturday of the month in spring, summer, and fall from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM! Volunteers help with a wide range of projects in and around the Nature Center, including trail maintenance, invasive species removal, gardening, deep cleaning, painting, light construction, event setup, and more. If you’re looking for an easy, flexible way to get involved, First Saturdays are perfect for you and your friends.

Special Events Volunteer

Love Frog Frenzy, Trout Takeover, the Art Festival, or Music in the Meadow? Volunteer at one—or all—of our signature community events! We’re always looking for help with setup and cleanup, staffing activity stations, and leading educational programs. From scavenger hunts and dip netting to the gift shop and raffles, your support helps us welcome thousands of visitors and create unforgettable experiences.
