Membership FAQ's

Where can I use my parking hang tag?

  • Your parking hang tag only applies to the Fair Hill Nature Center’s parking lot for Nature Center events.  Our lot is on the north side of Tawes Drive, directly across from the Nature Center building.  All other parking lots require a State Park pass or payment at the honor box.

Is my membership the same as a State Park pass?

  • No.  Your membership benefits, including the parking hang tag, only apply to Fair Hill Nature Center.  All other parking and activities led by rangers in Fair Hill NRMA are part of the State Park system through the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.  State Park passes, as well as information on hunting and fishing, can be obtained at the Fair Hill NRMA office.

How do I contact the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area?

How much is it for non-members to visit the Nature Center during public hours?

  • Our public hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 10am-3pm throughout the months of May - September.  Pricing is $5 / person.  Under 5 are free.

Where is the Nature Center?

  • Take exit 100 off Interstate 95 North and follow Rt. 272 North toward Rising Sun. Take a right on Rt. 273 and follow to the intersection of Rts. 273 and 213. Proceed straight through the traffic light.  The Park Entrance is on your right.  Once in the Park, turn left onto Ranger Skinner Dr.  Proceed left at the fork onto the bridge that crosses over 273.  Proceed straight past the racing barns to the Stop sign.  Turn right onto Tawes Drive.  Proceed 1 mile and the Nature Center is on your right in the 2 story stone building.  Our address is 630 Tawes Drive, Elkton MD 21921.

Can a company purchase a membership?

  • Yes!  Businesses may purchase a Tree-Hugger, Trail Blazer, or Fox Den membership.
