Campus Improvements
Campaign Goal: $150,000 - 250,000
The FHNC campus consists of 6 acres, including the former DuPont Fox Hunting Lodge, the Caretaker Cottage and the Historic Bank Barn. While we operate daily within the DuPont Fox Hunting Lodge, critical infrastructure issues keep us from utilizing the other 2 structures on our property for programming. Rooted in Tomorrow will allow us to increase classroom and event space for growth in programming.

Why Now?
-
Demand for FHNC's programs has never been higher. Schools and parents are seeking deeper, hand-on STEM learning.
-
The Caretaker Cottage renovation will allow us to see MORE STUDENTS, ADULTS, AND CAMPERS by providing:
-
Additional covered, temperature-controlled spaces for times when inclement weather does not allow us to be outside.
-
Space for more programs such as Master Naturalist, Speaker Series, etc.
-
3 additional bathrooms and 5 classrooms to our campus facilities.
-
Expanded Pre-K programming.
-
-
The Bank Barn renovation will
-
Meet the need for a larger event space.
-
Give us the ability to meet the demand for our programming.
-
Preserve this important piece of Cecil County history.
