Lead Environmental Educator
Liz Glynn
As a longtime resident of Cecil County, Liz spent most of her summers on the Chesapeake Bay where she developed her love of the outdoors. Liz comes from an educational background and loves being able to immerse students in an outdoor educational program. When not at work, she loves spending time with her family, being outside and hiking with her 2 dogs, Blueberry and Spam.

Environmental Educator
Pat Tannock
Pat is a former banker who moved into the education field. She retired from teaching after 22+ years. She earned her Masters of Science Degree in Elementary Education from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA, where she graduated Cum Laude. She served as Science Curriculum Coordinator from K to 5 at her former school. Pat’s love of nature, science and education brought her to the Nature Center. She loves engaging with the students and getting them interested in nature, science and conservation

Dawn Preske
Dawn combines storytelling, history, and music into her outdoor classroom to spark connections between the community and the natural world. She's on a mission to offer programs that draw folks of all ages back to nature.

Cheryl Abbey
Cheryl feels fortunate to be an environmental educator at Fair Hill Nature Center. She is very concerned about our planet and hopes to teach children to appreciate our environment and how to protect it. Retired from a business career working with schools, she enjoys hiking and exploring nature, as well as drawing, painting, gardening and watching her grandchildren play sports.
