Center Home PageGrants Received to Support Outdoor School
This year the Nature Center is receiving support for its Outdoor School programs in a variety of ways.
Ten
thousand dollars has been approved by the Cecil
County Commissioners to help support programming at
the Center. In
addition, the Cecil County Public Schools is
funding field trip costs for all first and second
graders. Once
again a generous grant from the Waterfowl Festival,
Inc., is supporting the sixth grade "Why Wetlands?
" program. The Cecil
County Arts Council also continues to support our
winter outreach program, "A Winter's
Tail." The Cecil County County Bar
Foundation provided funding for the 3rd, 4th and
5th grades of the Cecil County Public Schools.

Other contributions to the Nature Center and Outdoor School come from donations from individuals and businesses, memberships, and special events such as the annual Fox Trot Ball.
