Members Present: Joann Dawson, Jerry Newman, Mario Gangemi, Jim Campbell, Holly Hannum, Barbara Snyder, Dan Schneckenburger, Jerry Hendricks, Larry Klevans, Nancy Simpers, Bob Carroll and Executive Director, Carol Riggs.

The meeting of the Board of Directors, Fair Hill Environmental Foundation, Inc. was held at the Fair Hill Nature and Environmental Center, Fair Hill, Maryland, July 19 2000 at 6:00 p.m.

Vice President Jerry Hendricks called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

Membership: Commissioner Phyllis Kilby has agreed to serve as a member representing the Cecil Land Trust and Dr. Barbara Wheeler will serve as an Ex-Officio member representing the Cecil County Board of Education.

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's Report was submitted to the membership and unanimously accepted as presented.

Miscellaneous Items:

• All members are encouraged to participate in the July 26 boat trip to Garrett Island. After the visit, members of the Executive Committee will draft a letter to the Cecil Land Trust stating the FHEF interest in serving as a partner in the Garrett Island project.
  
• During the August 16th, 2000 meeting, Linda Walls will be present to talk about fundraising.
  
• Holly Hannum stated that the News Journal Crossroads section on 7/20 would have an article about the Nature Center. We also received a grant from the Arts Council in the amount of $2,153.
  
• Jerry Newman reminded members to participate in the paint days at Fair Hill, August 5th and 12th beginning at 8:00 a.m. until project is completed. Members are asked to bring favorite brushes and equipment.

Meeting adjourned at 6:30 to enjoy welcome picnic for Executive Director Carol Riggs.
