Executive Director’s Topics for Board Meeting 1/26

1. Spring Fest

• Food – Farm Museum group has a meeting tonight, will let us know if they plan to participate for 2005.
• Moon Bounce – Faxed special request for donation to ACE, rental is $175 per day. Dan Schneckenburger to check with owner of store.
• Draft SpringFest brochures ready for approval, changes
• Antique Car Show – Ron Perkins working
• Farm Equipment display – Ralph Young working
• Price quotes for signs – me and Ralph and Bill Pannill
• Need someone to manage clean up crew volunteer schedule – put request for volunteers in Buzz
• Advertising/publicity – Doug and Nyla Hill volunteered to work this committee
• Nix the Wine and Cheese sponsor party

2. Foxtrot 5K

• Del, Erlene and Cindy to form the committee
• Does Insurance cover special events?  YES

3. Wine and Cheese Tasting

• New date is April 1st
• Hinda and I to meet with Robert Murray at Stateline Liquors to discuss either partnership or sponsorship.
• Target meeting is next Wednesday (Feb 2) at 5 p.m.

4. The Buzz

• Include request for volunteers for Spring Fest
• Include blurb on Wine and Cheese Tasting
• Habitats to be resurrected and published by March 1st
• Send e-mail to Mario and Holly requesting articles  by Feb. 11th

5. 2005 Goals

• Send e-mail to board reminding them to each come up with three goals for 2005 for the Nature Center and respond by Feb. 4

6. Other

• Labels for publications should include membership renewal date
• E-mail Mark a copy of my budget report
• Generate a membership report for next board meeting
• Friday 1 p.m. Karin’s house for new web site update
• Next SpringFest meeting Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m.
• Next Board meeting Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.
• E-mail Jerry Hendricks to change dates for following programs:
• Foxtrot Wine and Cheese Tasting – April 1st
• Girl Scout Day – Saturday, April 23 from 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m.
