Cecil County Bar Association Foundation Donates to the Nature Center

(see a few Thank You notes here)

The Fair Hill Environmental Foundation wishes to acknowledge the generous donation by the Cecil County Bar Association Foundation of $25,000. The funds will be used to provide environmental education programs to the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades of the Cecil County Public Schools.

The Cecil County Bar Association Foundation was established in 1997 for the purpose of providing educational assistance to Cecil County students. The current award to Fair Hill is the largest single grant to date by the Bar Foundation. "Since the mission of our foundation has been defined as educational assistance for the young people of Cecil County, we see it as a great use for our funds, providing for the continuation of environmental education to 3,000 Cecil County students who might otherwise have missed this important segment,"stated Robert Valliant Jones, Secretary of the Foundation. "It's a perfect blending of two of my favorite organizations," added Fair Hill Environmental Foundation President, Dennis Clower.

Education Director Holly Hannum accepts a check from Keith Baynes of the Cecil County Bar Foundation. Students Kelly Benson and Mason and Cassidy Adam are three of the many students who will benefit from this generous donation.
